Tonya Kerr is a wife and mother of three growing girls who juggles a full-time job in television and loves every minute of her hectic family schedule. She's constantly looking for ways to save time and money, while making life a little bit easier for her family. And Tonya hopes The Parent Code will help other parents and keep them smiling. She believes parenting is too important to be taken seriously.

Tonya was born and raised in Texas, and graduated from Texas Tech University. She's worked as a news reporter, anchor and producer for various television stations and networks in Lubbock, Houston, Austin, Washington D.C., and London, England. She also owned her own public relations business in Houston.

After staying home full-time with her children for two years, Tonya went back to work for Houston's NBC television affiliate, KPRC. There, she created, produced and anchored a daily television segment, "Family First", which was a viewer favorite. She initiated the first What's Going Around segment, not to mention Mom at the Movies, Mommy Inventions, and Adventures in Pregnancy.

Tonya constantly networks with family members and friends to keep up with the very latest parenting news and issues. She says The Parent Code is a project that teaches her something new everyday.
