Gardening in New York City is no easy trick, but Valentine is passionate about helping things grow. A member of the Open Road Park community, she has been tending the garden and soaking up sunshine since she was a toddler. Amy, Meredith, and Amy chat with her about what makes her garden grow.

Amy et al - congrats on your terrific site. I came across it through Parent and Child magazine. As a teacher of current tweens, and mom of two future tweens (9 months and 5 years), I applaud your efforts to make young women proud of who they are. Kudos to you for using your fame for a valuable and sustainable purpose! You are very talented and good!

This is this most annoying show i have seen lately, form the distracting comments to the crew to the way the interview is conducted. this is not entertaining or informative its just annoying and a waste of resources.

this is the best show that i've seen all day, all week, all month, all year. Oh god, it's only the 10th of January. Well, then all of 2008 too.
I have always wanted to have a big vegetable garden in my backyard like my grandmother, but so far the only plants I have been able to keep alive for more than a week are three little cacti I keep in my kitchen. Fingers crossed for more success this spring!
