I'm glad to hear that Velvet has a new family.in my country Indonesia, I often saw a kitten just neglected.I took them and nurse them. at this moment I have 3 kitten neglected from the neighborhood.we don't have a shelter like on the video in my city.I'd like to help animal neglected,but there's no formal authority in my city..any suggestions?? I'm in Bandung,West java,Indonesia,I hope animal lovers all over the world read this message-thanks
As someone who daily receives hundreds of
e-alerts about healthy, sweet, beautifuL animals about to be killed, simply for want of a home,I feel nothing but disgust and revulsion for anyone who intentionally breeds animals for personal profit. Anyone who would make a buck off the uterus of an innocent animal is without compassion and has no soul.
If you want a special pet, or a particular breed, check your local shelter or humane society or seek out a breed rescue on the internet; they are all around the country and many have purebred animals that have been abandoned and are in desperate need of a home.
Millions of wonderful companion animals, family pets are given up for reasons that are so unexplainable and unacceptable that they would make you weep...since the likelihood of an older animal being adopted, is slim to none...and once in a shelter, they become ill, depressed and abandon all hope,,if they last that long, since some shelters gas owner turn-ins within 24 hours.
BE A RESPONSIBLE PET OWNER! SPAY/NEUTER YOUR PETS! NEVER CHAIN A DOG AND LEAVE HIM/HER OUTSIDE. AND MOST OF ALL, NEVER BUY WHILE OTHERS DIE!

I volunteer at a local city shelter. We have alot of animals there all of the time. They keep coming and it never stops. Unfortunately many get put down (for various reasons). This was a really great video. I wish more people could see it. It is true. Life in the shelter is not always bad. We try to play with the animals as much as possible and give them love and exercise. It helps the animals. I wish more people volunteered. Many people won't work unless they are paid for it, but the animals at the shelter pay you in different ways. I want to have my own no-kill shelter but it's a difficult task and money is always an issue with me. I'm trying to buy a little land right now so one day maybe that dream will come true. The people at my shelter hate putting down animals, especially when they are good prospective pets, there just isn't any place to put them in a crowded city pound.
As long time TV producers here in Australia my wife and I have seen a lot of stuff done with animals on television... some good but most not so good - but this has GOT to be among the very best we have seen in a loooong time!!

I think this a great idea for a video. I have been wanting to do something similar at the Shelter where I volunteer. I am currently fostering 3 adorable little kittens and would like to show what it is like to be a foster parent for animals. This shelter looks great and would love to have as nice a shelter for our homeless cats.
I adopted my little calico, Sophie, from the Abbotsford Humane Society location in Canada. I wouldn't give her up for the world - she's just too cute! Plus, my other kitty, Peanut - who was adopted from the Chilliwack SPCA in Canada, is in love with her. He watches her eat and chases and play-fights with her. They're always together. <3
Thank you for this, people need to see how unwanted animals end up in shelters. GET YOUR ANIMALS SPAYED OR NEUTERED! I volunteer at our local SPCA and we often have to turn people away, we're that full sometimes and when the SPCA is full, they end up in KILL shelters.

I have an orange and white female tabby cat that I got from the pound in 1991 and she is still kicking.I love that cat and I can't and won't imagine what life would be with out her.I know she will go some time and I will bury her in my yard when the time comes with a broken heart and many tears.I never regretted getting her and when I am ready to get another animal I will visit the shelter again-with wonderful memories of my beloved Angelica(aka:Angel")and look forward to many wonderful memories to come with another animal that catches my heart.This is for all the "Angels"in the world...go check out the nearest animal shelter.visit-donate money or supplies that they need(isn't it tax deductible?)volunter9spelling-sorry!) do something...you won't regret it.our humanity as a people in whole God can be determined by how we treat those in need.GOD BLESS!!!!!

makes me sad that i can't help all the little helpless animals. I'mm so thankful there are people that do care. God will bless them.
