College Dreams- the story of General Computer
In 1981, A couple of MIT students named Doug Macrae and Kevin Curran started a small company called General Computer. These guys loved video games, played video games, bought a few arcade games, and even had their own coin-op route on campus. But the two kids were just engineering students and didn’t have the factory resources to make big arcade games from scratch. So instead they just made these enhancement boards that would connect to the circuit boards of existing arcade games and modify them into new and improved versions. So began the start of their amazing video game career.

I think ON Networks, for whatever reason, put a hold on this show and aren't going to make it anymore. That is so bogus because it's clear everyone loves this show. I was so ginned when I found it and I know there's plenty other material to talk about so I am at a loss as to why they'd stop making it. I so wish they would bring it back. Great cast and format, and interesting topics.
I came here because I love this show. I watch it from time to time on YouTube and just generally wondered if it was still going on. This is a new episode for me, as it isn't on their YouTube channel, but it's still from back in 2008, apparently. What happened to these guys?

so back when this came out Jeremiah Black (producer and director) contract ended
and on was not responding about messages getting a new contract started but previous to that the dreamcast episode came out on time but we waited 10 weeks to get the copy right episode and another 10 weeks for this episode but anyways so when we were being ignored and our comments were being deleted so i contacted screwattack and another member jet piolot contact GT and while screwattack was really interested in the show they said they couldn't afford the 300 grand at least that that jeremiah was looking for because after all this is his living so after starting petitons emailing them and i created a fan site but we ended up going to a forums that a member spacecowboykenny started and have been discussing gaming in general but we never forget our roots if you want to see everyting i mentioned go look at the comments and here are the link

I love this show! As a gamer I went from Coleco to Nintendo Gamecube and sorta missed everything in between. Its fascinating history guys!! Keep it up.
This show is amazing! It pulled back the curtain of an industry I've been a part of since the NES! So cool! Too bad it's gone. I'm still passing it to all my friends and they're loving it so maybe it will come back... maybe?

Dan is cool , but please . . calm down a little and stop talking with the vomit voice of a 70s - 80s radio disc jokey. One DJ told me that's what that way of talking is, vomit voice :) I find myself gritting my teeth whenever he's talking because he's so intense, it makes me intense :)
Ha ha- Yeah, Dan used to be a disk jockey back in the day. I guess that's pretty obvious. Hey, what can I tell you? Dan just does his thing- it's who he is. Actually, Dan gets more fan mail than anyone else on the show. So, I guess you either love him or hate him.
dan is really the most talked about cast member. the only one who comes close is shandy.

When is the next episode coming?!!! I'd personally love to see at-least one episode on the Amiga.
BTW: keep the Podcast alive, I watch those episodes on my Apple TV and would like to continue doing that.

Second word of advice, your last show was in Mid-November... christmas rush! ... Remember Captain N and the Game Master? Super Mario Brothers Super Show? Legend of Zelda? Mega Man X?... I mean cartoons of course... they used these cartoons as a medium to make people buy their games. ... All Nintendo... I think XBox might have been looking to you guys to turn things around a bit... somewhat the same way Nintendo did. ... But you guys are the real deal, you're teachers. You're not trying to sell us a game or a system. You're selling us ideas, and helping us learn from mistakes... and not only you, but we have XBox to thank for that. I believe in your show... maybe though, instead of mario pipes with mario popping out under your names, you should do a little Halo thing. and a Halo opening title sequence. ... anything that'll help this show come back. PLEASE!! :-)

In my opinion, you guys had a great show. But lets face it, you flipped off your sponsor. XBox Live Marketplace probably wouldn't have gotten anywhere without Halo, and indeed Nintendo Wii controllers just might be the first step in the right direction. But it's bad business to do anything that upsets the guys that sponsor your show, they give you money. If this is controversy, let it be, as long as people are talking and debating about this stuff, it's never going to die! ... I think you guys should look into your own research on how to save the show! :-)
If it is official that ON ended up deciding against continuing the show, then I think it might be best to see what could be done with ScrewAttack or GameTrailers.
Also, the forum links don't work.

i won't forget this day for a long time. Onnetworks, you guys have just lost half of the people that come to your site. In this economy you need all the views you can get. I wouldn't be surprise if you go out of busness in a month. I know that this comment is going to be deleted in one day but its worth posting
Well, it looks like the word now from the producer, Jeremiah Black, is that ON Networks has finally officially killed the show. What a sad day.
Thanks Jeremiah for giving us this great program. It only lasted 22 episodes, but those 22 are some of the very best programs about gaming ever created.

I posted a message asking people to contact ON Networks about bringing back Play Value and my was deleted by the site admin. Why?
I found a reply from the "admin" user on "The Fall of Atari" video:
