Episode “Loft apartment”

Leigh: Welcome to Feng Shui you Way, I’m your host Leigh Kubin, and in this episode we are in Denise and Leo’s downtown loft. The room we will be working in falls into three areas of the bagua, so let’s go see how to solve this challenge.
Denise, your Living room is unique in the fact that it contains three areas of the bagua in one room. You have got your wealth, and your fame and reputation, and your relationships areas. So that gives us a fun project to work on. What are your three goals for this area?
Denise: I am recently married, so strong relationship. We both want to change our career paths, and hopefully that will bring us more money.
Leigh: That is great, great goals to get started with. Well we are in your wealth area, and I noticed that you have got some things over here in your wealth corner. Uh, we call it clutter and it creates stagnant energy. So with you wanting to make more money, clutter in your wealth area isn’t the best choice. So let’s find a new home for that.
Denise: Okay, maybe in a closet?
Leigh: Or maybe donate it if you are not going to use it.
Denise: Sure.
Leigh: Okay, h abundance area is a wood sector, so in this area we really want to stay away from fire, and the way your couch is positioned you are creating a triangle which is fire. So we really want to get this straightened out, get the fire out of here. And traditionally the color is purple. You don’t have to bring in purple, jewel tones work also. And your couch is a jewel tone, so that will work. But I would really like to see something on this wall that represents growth for you and your husband. With you two looking for new careers we really want to open up these new opportunities and abundance for you.
The middle part of your wall is actually the fame and reputation sector of the bagua. So traditionally the color is red, but we are not going to paint it red, because it would bleed over into your wealth area, which would cause money problems. So we are going to focus on the middle. And we are going to focus on bringing elements that represent fire.
So much as the color red, candles, triangles, anything that will represent fire we want to put in this spot. Wood is also really good to have here because it fuels the fire making it bigger. And the fame and reputation area is very important to activate, especially since you are looking for a new career and both you and your husband doing that together. We want to find something that has meaning for you to put into that spot.
This is the third area of the bagua, and it is your relationship corner. And this is a great corner for you and your husband having just been married. I know you will want to set this up in an away that will create a strong relationship. So we will put something in here in twos to represent you two together. And I would love to see this wood armoire moved, because wood breaks up the earth. So let’s clear out this area, set it up for you two, and find a new home for this.
The traditional color for the relationship area is pink, but you can use anything that has a little muddiness to it, earthy tones. And also consider the shape, which is square or a horizontal rectangle. You can incorporate that in there too. So now we go some ideas, you want to go get started?
Denise: Yes let’s go.
Leigh: Okay.
Here I how we are going to Feng Shui this room. We will remove the clutter from the wealth area. And straighten out that triangle so we don’t burn up Denise's money. We will bring in the wood and fire elements for the fame and reputation area, grounding them in there new journey. And we will remove the wood element from the relationship area, and bring in a seating area for two.
What do you think about what we did?
Denise: I love it.
Leigh: How does it feel?
Denise: It feels really good.
Leigh: I think you did a great job, and I love the fact that you didn’t have to go shopping. Everything that we moved was already here.
Well in your wealth area we removed the triangle and brought in the wood element with those to pillars and I think that is a great representation for you and Leo in your new careers. Well in your fame and reputation area we brought in the armoire with the wood in it, using that element which feed the fire. And you got your touch of red. And then the triangles on top of the accessories you did a great job activating his sector of the bagua.
Well in your relationship area we removed the wood, which breaks up earth, and we replaced it with the two chairs, which are muddy colors and the table and then the picture of you two. So that is a great representation of the two of you on your journey. Denise you did a great job on this room.
Denise: I love everything you have done thank you for your help.
