You will want to place the Ba Gua map over the floorplan of your home to see where each area falls. Once you do this you will want balance the entire home, with emphasis on the relationship and wealth areas. You can email me at Info@fengshuibyleigh.com and I can send you the map.

hi. my curiosity about feng shui keeps growing. im having a hard time with my husband and 2nd child in terms of money matters and parent - teen age clash respectively. can you help me alleviate this problem? i was born in aug 13, 1962, my husband in june 30, 1958 and my youngest kid in jan.11, 1991. my entrance door (im facing north when i open it from outside) used to face an open space but now a concrete firewall of my neighbor's remodeled house. I live on the second floor (southern portion) of a double duplex house thats facing east. My house was built in 2005.

i was born june 24. 1972,and my wife october 6 1975 we would like to us what kind of a house we would buy. because we are planning to buy soon what type. what maybe the design and color of paint.the most problably location hope for detailed reply thank you.
When looking to buy a home, you want to consider your goals and how the home may support you in those goals. I would avoid homes at the end of a t-intersection, a stairway that faces the front door, a fireplace in the wealth area, a restroom in the center of the home or a home that has a missing sector. You might locate a Feng Shui Practitioner in your area to help you pick the best home for your family.

Hi Jenny, You will want to pick your ceiling and wall colors based on the areas of the home and the yin/yang balance that you are trying to create. There isn't a standard color that is used on all ceilings and walls. Let me know if you need anymore help!

Hi I live in a bi-level home with the entry in between the upstairs and downstairs. Does the Ba Gua apply to the upper level and lower level equally.
Also, their is a hallway that runs down the middle area of my house which includes the Health and Creativity areas. Should I do anything different if the space is basically a hallway?

Yes, the Ba Gua map applies to both levels so you will place the Ba Gua on both upstairs and downstairs. For the hallway that falls in several sectors, I would put décor that represents the different sectors in the different areas of the hallway. So earthy items in yellow tones, squares and circles in the health portion of the hallway, and consider children’s art work or items that represent metal, the pastel color spectrum or even circles in the creativity area.

Hi Margeline, Thanks so much for tuning in! I don't use birthdates when working in homes and I believe that we create our own luck :-)! But when choosing a home, you can look at the address to see what the number represents or look at the home you live in to see what it represents!

Hi Ms. Leigh! I have learned the colors for the interior part of my room appropriate for the bagua. However, i am wondering if what color will be appropriate for my exterior to attract chi. My front door faces the north.

Soft muted tones that have had gray added to them are considered more private than their brighter counterparts.
Brown says family. Adding brown in trim work or woodwork can be a subtle way to invite family in without being overwhelmed by family visitors.
If your door falls in the journey area consider black, this is a great way to bring in the water element.

Counseling—soft yellow, gold
Sales and marketing—red, bright colors
Healing professions—green
Service-oriented professions, teachers—blue
Computers, intellectual property, and details—white, shades of gray
Architecture and building—naturals, muted tones

It sounds like you might have read about the Compass School of Feng Shui. I practice and teach the BTB Sect or Western Feng Shui. (We align the Ba Gua according to the front door, not the actual compass direction) One is not better than the other, you just want to find the one that makes the most sense to you. This will make your adjusments much more effective! (remember... Intention!) Have fun and let me know if you have any other questions!

Well first, don't bring anything you don't love, need, or use. This is the perfect time to get rid of any clutter and change energy patterns. Is this a new home or did you purchase it from another family? If it isn't a new home I would sage it before you move in to avoid moving into their old energy patterns! Have fun!!

OOPS! That's "The 411 on Feng Shui" not 'Feng Shui 911' for the Ba-gua grid. (Gotta remember: my life's not that big an emergency!).
Feng Shui does not adjust to accomodate your home, Feng Shui is the means to make adjustments to your home so that it accomodates you and your goals! It is the means of regulating the "energy" in your home or office so things go well for you. There are Feng Shui "fixes" for problem areas such as 'missing pieces' etc (an example is the crystal hung from the ceiling in the master bedroom webisode). The Ba-gua isn't a specific size so it can be shrunk or enlarged to fit your floor plan. I got my first bagua picture copy from a library book, then later purchased a book on Feng Shui to have on hand - this was before I came across Leigh's info here. Leigh has a general graphic of the bagua on each webisode: the 9-square grid with the words "Journey, Relationships" etc. There is a full grid in the webisode "Feng Shui 911". A Google search for "Bagua" under images pulls up lots of Bagua examples. These include colors, directions, elements, and all that. At work I wasn't allowed to put up much but used a few cheats(remember: INTENT!). I would love to take the Feng Shui training Leigh offers but in the meantime by watching Leigh I have gotten tips to refine my Feng Shui use at home. This is great fun! Happy Feng Shui-ing!

Hello Leigh, UK calling here. My yings and yangs are not oscillating at the same frequency and I need your advice. If the ba gua was laid squarely on my house plans, it would mean that my front door enters into the ancestors area and my wealth and part of my fame (which also has a toilet in it) are missing. If I lay the ba gua to your advice then it would mean that two bedrooms would not come under any part of the ba gua at all, a protruding part of the building so to speak. I have watched your videos (brilliant !) but nothing has come up yet like my house layout. Please advise. Any chance of a tour to wet and windy wales - I do hope so. Best regards Angela Jones

You align the front door with the wisdom, journey or helpful people area of the Ba Gua. If you stand in front of your home facing the front door the far left corner will be your wealth area, the far middle area will be your fame, and the far right will be your relationship area. I'm confused as to how to align my house according to the diagram you show with each episode. Is the journey always the front door. How do you know which room of your house represents what in your diagram? And......what is bawgwa (sp)? I love your show. I just really need to learn the basics.

Margarita, I love the meaning behind your bracelet. Yes, I would consider you Feng Shui-ing it because you are creating an intention that you see everyday! Those adjustments we make that have meaning to us are always more powerful than ones that don't have personal meaning.

Hey Margarita, you will have to decide where the water fountain will fit. My recommendation is to make sure the water flows toward the door, encouraging abundance to flow to your home! The water feature shown in this episode has water flowing toward the door but also in other directions. We look at this as the client sharing their abundance, and having it all come back to them.
As far as my Pandora.... I haven't found a charm I don't like! I have two bracelets and a necklace. :-)
