Hi Leigh, I am moving into my new home with my fiance and I was just looking at all the information on Feng Shui and everything seems pretty good except for the fact that in the master bedroom the foot of the bed will have to be under two separate windows. The head of the bed is a solid wall so that is fine but is it bad Feng Shui for the feet heading out of the window too?? If so what might be a cure for this? Look forward to hearing from you! Kirsten

Hello! We're moving into a house where the former owners got divorced, and I'm trying to be extra careful about placing feng shui cures to keep my marriage strong. But the master bedroom is almost an octagon shape surrounded by 5 double windows, and it is in the front of the house upstairs on the west side. Also, the relationship area of the home is a missing area! HELP!

My lucky number is 2. It is possible to put the head of my bed either southwest or west. If it goes west it would be cady cornered against a solid wall. If it goes south west it would be against double french doors. These doors however have heavy drapes. Either way we can fit night stands on both sides. Which direction or situation would be best?

Hello Leigh,
I am so excited to have found you. So I need a little help....my boyfriend and I recetly moved into a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment. He was laid off about a month ago and he can't seem to find a job. He is a good man with so much to offer that is what lead me to think it might be our house. We are pretty much clean bees and our house is definitly not cluttered. Can you help me make my home to give him some success with finding a job? Thanks so much

Brittany

Hello Leigh,
You do great work! Thank you! I have a question about my living space. I currently rent a small room in the upstairs NW corner of a house which is located over the garage. Tho no cars are parked in there, it is over-flowing with 'stuff.' The front door to the house is due north in the middle of the house. In the bedroom there is a window on the north wall on the east side and the door is on the south wall on the east side. The whole east wall is built in bookshelves, mostly filled with books. the closet is on the remainder of the south wall and the doors are mirrors. I'm only staying here until the end of the year but I need some help. My issue is that I am in school full-time, am opening my own holistic health practice and working and try as I might I can't seem to get organized and focused, nor have a really great night's sleep. Any suggestions for my room to help me?
Thanks a ton!!

Wow! You have a lot of stuff going on in that room and under you. It can be hard to get focused when you have a lot of things competing your your attention and a lot of mirrors keep energy bouncing around.

It sounds like the area your are renting is in the helpful people area of the home. This is a benefit to you since you need helpful people to assist you in opening your business. I would recommend only keeping things around you that you need and place the Ba Gua over your space as a whole. I would also make sure your bed is not by the mirrors, that will keep you up at ngith. As you activate each area, you will find a sense of balance that will help you get organized and get a great night's sleep!

Feel free to call into my weekly radio show with any specific questions. www.co-creatornetwork.com I am live on Wednesdays at noon.

Thanks for your question and for tuning in.

HI- is it best to have a flat ceiling in a bedroom? i am doing brand new construction and my architect wants to do a trsay ceilingin the master bedroom, i am concerned. also, he wants to do a tray ceiling in thelivingroom andkitchen and dining areas. i am thinking tray in livingroom is great, but a flat in the bedroom, and the kitchen, but what about the dining area? i want a designer look to all the ceilings but how to proceed?

Hi Lisa,

Yes, a flat ceiling is always best! I know how beautiful some of the "designer looks" can be. Places where you sleep, sit or work need to be flat. Other places where you don't spend a lot of time directly under are ok to get creative. Thanks for your question and for tuning in! You can also catch me live on Wednesday's at www.co-creatornetwork.com for your Feng Shui questions. There are archives to listen to and they replay the shows daily, but I'm live on Wednesdays.

Thanks!
Leigh

HI LEIGH,
my bedroom is in serious trouble. my bed is king size and it has to be situated in an area where it is all windows in a square. If i move it there is still going to be trouble because it would be in line with doors. CAN you advise me please? Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

My first recmmendation would be to downsize to a queen sized bed. If that is not possible, put a red fitted silk sheet on the box springs to symbolically fuse together the two pieces. King mattresses sit on two seperate box springs which causes a split in your foundation. Do you have a headboard? If not get one to keep all of your energy from going out the windows and this will help you recharge while you are sleeping.

The idea is to set your room up in a way that makes you feel good because if you feel like your room is in serious trouble you will create it that way. Set your space up in a way that makes you feel positive and optimistic so you will create more things to be positive and optimistic about!

Thanks so much for tuning in!

Leigh

Arlene, you will line the bottom of the Ba Gua up with your front door, meaning that you will enter through your wisdom, journey or helpful people area. Upstairs you will use the landing of the stairs just like your front door. Email me at info@fengshuibyleigh.com and I will send you a copy. Thanks so much for tuning in!

hi leigh im living in an appartment its a box-type,in the 1st floor is the living room, dining & kitchen,my living room is at the entrance of the house, can u help me how to locate the ba gua?upstairs the masters bed room is at the same location to my living room downstairs.

hi there Leigh i really enjoy checking out wats new here...i always visit this site...i was just wondering about the jade dragon and phoenix i bought in shop..i want to put it inside my bedroom can u advice me the best part to put it?my bedroom is located at SEeast and its the relationship area of the bagua, my headboard is facing south and i have one cupboard located at swest ...thanks and more power

Hey Samantha, What does the jade dragon and the phoenix mean to you? You want anything you place in your space to have personal relevance to you, or it will just be taking up space! In your bedroom you want to create the feel that you want in your relationship. I encourage clients to use artwork, color and items that give them the feel they want! Surrounding yourself with items that make you feel safe, secure, romantic or playful will help you create this in your relationship. Have fun with this process and make it your own!

Leigh

dear leigh, where in ireland can i buy a money plant thank you

I'm not sure where you could find them in Ireland, but you can order them online. If you google Chinese Money Tree, you will find them!

Hello Ms. Leigh,
I was born in the year of the wood horse. I've heard from a radio progrma that this year is unlucky for me. Will you PLEASE help me on how to prevent or minimize my this?
Thanks a lot.
yolanda

Hi Yolanda,

I don't pay attention that kind of information becuase our intent is so powerful that if we believe we will have an unlucky year, we will create it that way. Sometimes those programs are trying to tell you what you will learn and how you might grow over the next year, why don't you look at it from that point of view. The most important thing to do is intend what kind of year you will have and consider putting together a vision board. (of course Feng Shui-ing your space is a great way to remind yourself of what you want to create.) The idea is intention. You should also consider reading "The Law of Attraction" by Esther & Jerry Hicks~ That will make you feel better and realize the power that you have to make this a great year!

Have Fun~

Leigh

Greetings! Ms. Leigh our room is located at the Relationship sector, however below the room is our kitchen. Our bed is directly above the stove. Our space is just small so there is no way for moving appliances. What measure can i do to dissipate the effect of the stove.
Also we live in an A-house Type, the wealth corner of our bedroom is at the lower sloped area of the roof and so with our bed. How can i cure the triangle effect of the roof at the wealth sector? Will the sloped part of the roof bring pressure when we sleep?
The time i discovered and watched your videos it moved me to clean my clutter! It feels good to see my surroundings organized and full of space. Thank you Ms. Leigh for the enlightenment! More power!

I'm thrilled to hear you have cleared your clutter, what a difference that makes!

For the wealth corner of your room as well as your bed you will want to create upward moving energy. A four poster bed will create this for you while you sleep, and you will want the same upward moving energy type of decor for the wealth corner. (A round faceted crystal would also do the trick!)

For the bed over the stove, why don't you place a mirror under your bed facing downward (toward the kitchen) to push that energy back down.

My biggest piece of advice is to have fun with this and don't make any changes because you are fearful. Keep your eye on what you want to create (your goals) not what you want to avoid. The idea is to use Feng Shui to put your goals in front of you everyday and watch them show up for you!

Have fun and more power to you too!!

Leigh

hi ms leigh, does the bagua applies the moment u enter the door of each room in the house or just the moment u step in the main door...love to hear from u soon thanks

When you are starting to Feng Shui your space I would place the Ba Gua over your space as a whole. Once that is complete you can place it room by room. Trying to do it room by room from the beginning could be a bit overwhelming. The idea is to have fun with it!!

Leigh :-)

Hello,
I think Leigh you are great!!! I was wondering where you took courses or studied. I have been studying this on my own for 2/3 years and I want to become a feng shui consultant in my area( the woman who does it is very bad... I knew more than her!!)What can I do? Do you offer courses or workshops? I also know that there is 3 different systems of feng shui, so which one are you following. DO you take the good and bad directions(north..) Let me know.
Desperate in Montreal

Hey Desperate in Montreal :-)

I studied with Sharon Stasney at The Feng Shui Training Center in Utah. Since Paul (my hubby) and I were certified through FSTC, when we had the opportunity to purchase and direct the school operating from our community, we knew that was what we wanted to do.(You can visit thefengshuitrainingcenter.com for details.)

We practice the BTB School of Feng Shui, since this style made the most sense to us from a practical point of view. We believe that all forms of Feng Shui work, you will want to find the one that resonates with you for the best results.

Thanks so much for tuning in!

Leigh

Hi Angela,

We will remedy the Ba Gua question, just email me:-). (info@fengshuibyleigh.com) All of the rooms fall inside the Ba Gua, however you might have an extension of an area or a missing portion. Your room creates quite a challenge! You can't be sleeping well with the mirrors facing you, so my first piece of advice is to remove them or at least get them our of your line of sight! I would like to see pictures of the bed situation to see which one is the best for you. A solid wall behind your head when you sleep is ideal, but the beam isn't. You can remedy the beam with paint, a crystal or a flute. Hope I haven't confused you too much! Everything is "fixable", remember Feng Shui is 90% intention! Look forward to hearing from you!

Leigh

Hello, Leigh. UK here again. In my bedroom the bed is currently heading onto a bay window so there is not a triangle but a curve behind it - is this good. the alternative is for the bed to be solid against a wall BUT there is a beam that runs right down the middle of the bed splitting my husband and me up so to speak. Which is the best way for the bed to go. Also, the doors on all our wardrobes are mirrors, if the bed lies in the bay window we have glass wardrobes on my side and at the the wall along the foot of the bed, if we have the bed under the beam there are glass wardrobes on my husbands side of the bed. As per my questions on the 411 video, this is one of the bedrooms that are not within the ba gua due to the placement of the front door. Is there any hope? Look forward to hearing from you. Angela Jones

Dorrina,

I normally ask that people stay away from fire in the wealth area, but with your obvious understanding of the elements and intention with the clear marbles and glass vase, you go ahead!!! I love the sound of that and am so impressed with that cure!! As far as your ceiling fan goes, why don't you try a 30mm round facated crystal? You can find them at www.lightstones.com You might be ok with the position of the ceiling fan, but I would put the crystal up anyway:-). Also when you get it, make sure you put it in salt and water in a cup or bowl and place it in the sun for 7 days to cleanse it!

Thank you so much for your encouragement and for tuning in!!

Leigh

Hi Leigh, I LOOOVE your show!!! You make everything seem so easy. I am going KOO KOO trying to feng shui our master bedroom. It's in the wealth area. I was wanting to place purple candles into clear glass vases filled with clear marbles. Is this a no no since WEALTH's element is wood or is it ok because the glass vase/marbles(water) will put out the fire?? Please correct me if I am wrong. Also we live in AZ and a ceiling fan is a MUST, ours is at the foot of our bed not directly over us, is it still cutting our chi??
I can't wait for more EPISODES!! YEAH LEIGH!!!!
Thanks so much-Dorrina

CaribDiva,

I'm so impressed that you have cleared out your bedroom! I work with some clients for MANY months before I get them to tackle that one!

What sector of the Ba Gua is your bedroom in? You want to consider that when choosing a color. If you were to go neutral, find a flesh tone color that will look good against your skin at night. I avoid peach colors as they create change, but a color that is close to your skin color or that compliments your skin color will work well.

A solid wall behind your head when you sleep is also really important for you because it supports your immune system. Can you place your bed on a solid wall?

Do you have two matching nightstands? That is also really important! Have fun and let me know if you have any other quetions! Thanks for tuning in!!

Leigh

I soo loved this episode. Maybe someone could help me with a suggestion for my bedroom. I have a bedroom layout similar to the one displayed in the episode. The difference is rather than having 2 small windows with a solid block of wall in the center in the fame area I have one really long window there. The energy is all wrong in my bedroom and after looking around I have clutter on my husband's nightstand and a box of old clothes in the relations corner. And then I wonder why we are unbalanced :-) I've removed the clutter but I'm not sure what else to do or what colors to use to restore tranquility.

At the risk of sounding dramatic, if you keep your bed in this position, keep an eye out for a third side in your relationship and if you notice one coming in, MOVE YOUR BED :-). But in the meantime, fill in the triangle behind your head with a table and possibly a picture of you and your mate. Avoid things that might hang over your head, but do fill in that space. I strongly recommend matching nightstands; do you have nightstands with your current setup? Don’t be afraid to move the furniture around to find an arrangement that feels good! You will know it when you find it!! Thanks for tuning in! Leigh

We currently have our bed in the corner like the way this couple had their bed at the beginning of the episode. Aside from moving the bed (small room, more space with bed in corner) is there a way to counter the triangle effect?

You will be thrilled to know that we have an episode of a loft coming up in a few weeks!

i feng shui-ed my bedroom! it looks so much better and it has a really great feel to it now. i just discovered on networks and i love feng shui your way. plus it sounds chic when i tell people i feng shui-ed my loft. :)

Hey Kimberly, why don't you email me at info@fengshuibyleigh.com and we can chat :-)
Thanks! Leigh

Hi Leigh,
Thank you for taking the time to respond. I am so OCD, I have to reconfirm that I do this right. You mentioned that you hang it on the wall along the wall that is pushing you down. Where on the wall to you hang it? Up high? What do you hang it with? You walk into the room & in the middle of the wall is a hanging crystal? Sorry for the questions. I will be more than happy to send you a photo of the ceiling & my bedroom & you can charge me for your consultation. Do you do that? Hey maybe you don't have to travel after all! There's an idea! I look foward to hearing from you.

Kimberly

Hi Esther, Thank you for your kind words. Of course I make home visits, that is what I do!! You can visit me at www.fengshuibyleigh.com

I am so impressed with the visual changes in the room and the feeling of safety. Can't wait to try some of your ideas. Wonder if you make home visits?

Leigh is such an inspiration, can't wait to see the next episode.

Hey Kimberly, You will place the crystal along the wall that is pushing down on you. (Take a close look at the picture of the ceiling in this episode and you can see it.) I order my crystals from Light Stones (www.lightstones.com) or you can get them from a consultant in your area. Make sure you get an Austrian Double Faceted Crystal Ball I use a 30mm to 40mm crystal on the ceiling but don't pay more than $25 for it.

Thank you for tuning in!!

Leigh

Hello, I wanted to know where & how would you place the crystal cure for the tray ceiling in this episode? I have the same ceiling over my bed along with a ceiling fan. Also, how big of a crystal & what would you hang it with? Thank you & look forward to more!
Kimberly

Please tell me the colors used in the bedroom. I'm trying to incorporate those same colors in my kitchen and family room. Love this episode...thanks for your help!

I am so glad that another episode has been released! Excellent ideas and what a peaceful room for relaxation and rejuvenation. Great job!
