Band: Cities On Fire (www.citiesonfirenyc.com)

In an edgy downtown New
York City
style, Cities on Fire combine their love of rock 'n roll and DJing, in a modern unique way without sacrificing originality. Using anything and everything to create, they we're born in the basement of bassist/producer Dom Rocket's Williamsburg hideout (later to be known as The Bombshelter), the band convinced the building owner that time spent in the space was on renovating it for future tenants. The reality: TJ, Dom Rocket and Gary, were hashing out plans to form band in the illegal rehearsal space.

Once the building owner realized that noise complaints were about musical instruments, and not power tools, he quickly threw the band out. Those formative months, however, gave the band enough time to establish an initial style and direction that has developed into what is now its current format..

Both vinyl junkies, DJ's, Dom Rocket and TJ came into the project with a special appreciation for all rock n roll n soul, early punk, cutting edge artists, and the top NYC DJ's who keep rooms vibing, and people dancing for hours on end. The band is now currently writing and working on their debut EP, with a tentative release date scheduled for late 2007.
