There are some truly gifted MC's out in the rap game, but there are
few with the charisma and stage presence of L.A.'s "Fresh Prince"
Pigeon John. The wizard of wit will be performing "Freaks! Freaks!"
and "Money Back Guarantee" from his latest Quannum release Pigeon John
and the Summertime Pool Party, as well as displaying his wickedly
hilarious trademark Pigeon Dance. Pigeon John hails from sunny
Southern California...Inglewood, to be exact. Like many West Coast
MCs, he got inspired to freestyle in the early '90s at the legendary
Good Life Café open-mic nights, spitting rhymes on the same stage with
then-fledgling artists like Freestyle Fellowship, Kurupt, The
Pharcyde, Busdriver, and Jurassic 5. These days Pigeon is a touring
maniac, spending the bulk of his time on the road, performing
alongside the likes of MF Doom, Matisyahu, Peeping Tom and Of
Montreal.
