Here's a cooking show that breaks the mold - the perfect mash-up of indie music and edgy food for total entertainment. Chef Sam Mason has been raising the stakes in the culinary world for the last ten years. Now join him as he invites his favorite touring bands to dinner for an intimate evening of cooking, conversation and live performance. Part rocker, part chef, Mason creates "intellectual food" that stimulates the palate as well as the dialogue. Rock on.
The company is picking up the show and three other series from ON Networks, an Internet production company that puts together some pretty sterling
content, despite the lowered expectations that come with the digital
medium these days.
The host is tattooed and goateed Sam Mason—“part rocker, part chef”—of
New York’s WD-50, who employs the musical fingers of touring bands for
help in making such exotic specialties as black olive cobbler and miso
butterscotch halibut (along with more staid creations, like steak and
frites and bagels and lox).
ON Networks has five
food and drink shows to choose from: Budget Health Nut, Cocktails on
the Fly, Dinner with the Band, Food Science and Stump the Chef.
