I prefer to make a homemade ginger brew but I was saving that for another show. Reeds is tasty but I recently moved to Bed Stuy, Brooklyn where they have the very delicious and peppery "Jamaican Ginger Beer" which is so good! Way better than Reeds! The bottle has a 60's looking Blue Pink Panther on it..it is sweetened with sugar instead of corn syrup and boy is it good! Find it and write me all about it..Kay? Thanks so much for your input!!!!
Howdy Girl! its super simple...get one of those silicone bread pans, fill with water, freeze and voila! Not only is your ice big and extra cold you get to wrap a towl around it and smash it up, pretending its your mean ole ex boyfriend. Try it cause it works great and you get a lot more icey volume than with one of those "big ice" trays!
DiscoVolante...gosh that is fun to say...yes! Making infusions is super fun..I love all the amazing combinations you can come up with and i like to experiment with both spirits and vermouths and wine...there are so many different ways you can approach it..dried fruit, fresh, herbs, spices etc..definately stay tuned for Flighty Favs! Excellent Point I see where you're coming from..but Miss Flighty believes in putting the best ingrediants in all here drinks whether it be a Martini or a Lemondrop...cause frankly, the girl's not gettin any younger, why waste time and morning after headache on inferior booze? Cause maybe it could work..so far the only marriage proposals I have gotten are from a bum whose house I tripped on and accidently crushed after a night out on the town and my Dad who wants me to marry my brother (granted stepbrother...but GROSS!)..Thanks for the Support and drink #209!
Fafner: According to the Esquire Drink Book the Grapefruit juice is optional..but super thank you for the heads up...also I am not makiing the Hemingway Daiquiri, but rather the La Floridita, I was concerned about the authenticity of the recipe, but utimately the taste, with the sugar won out amng my Designated Drinkers...let me know if you have any other helpful comments and thank you for watching.
