Peter Zokosky is from Southern California and received his MFA from Otis Art Institute.  He has exhibited internationally and is the subject of another documentary titled Under the Skin:  The Art of Peter Zokosky.  More of his work can be seen at www.zokosky.com [1].  "In this show"  Zokosky states "I'm doing paintings of apes and monkeys, the majority are portraits of individual primates done in a respectful, even reverential way. They seem to have such unique personalities and such expressive faces that it just seemed natural to treat them the subject of a portrait."
