ON Networks and South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Conference and Festival, will introduce the first annual Greenlight Awards competition at this year's SXSW Film Conference, March 7-11, 2008. This competition is the industry's first to recognize the next best, original Digital TV Series.

Unlike traditional television series, which are limited by broadcast schedules and narrow distribution, digital TV series vary in length and are available to consumers anywhere and anytime via the web, mobile devices, gaming consoles, IPTV and digital cable systems. As a result, digital series give advertisers, writers, talent and producers global access to potential audiences along with new channels for revenue.

Competition is across two categories:

• Best Original Digital Series Production
• Best Original Digital Series Idea

Winners will not only receive a cash award, but they will also have an exclusive development opportunity with ON Networks. The series production winner will receive 1-month distribution through Xbox LIVE Marketplace followed by syndication through ON Networks' premium network.
